Magnetic induction heating device "MAGHEAT" (patented)

Significantly reduce power consumption with motor adoption! Metal heating using electromagnetic induction.

"MAGHEAT" is a magnetic induction heating device that generates induced currents in non-ferrous metals by moving magnets, utilizing the resulting Joule heat for heating. It employs a motor as the power source, significantly reducing power consumption compared to electric furnaces. In the case of aluminum, it is possible to reduce the power consumption required for melting by 70%. The structure is simple, which minimizes the number of failure points and simplifies maintenance inspections. It also contributes to reducing maintenance costs. 【Features】 - Allows for a significant increase in heating temperature compared to preheating with gas furnaces (utilizing exhaust heat). - Faster heating time enables a reduction in takt time. - No CO2 emissions. - Capable of heating around 500°C, making it suitable for preheating ingots. *For more details, please refer to the materials. Feel free to contact us with any inquiries.

Preheating aluminum ingots! Magnetic induction heating device 'MAGHEAT'

Preheat aluminum ingots with magnetic induction technology! Effective for moisture removal!

Remove moisture contained in aluminum die-cast ingots before melting! Our "MAGHEAT" is a magnetic induction heating device that generates induced currents by moving magnets, which flow through non-ferrous metals, utilizing the resulting Joule heat for heating. Since the power source is only a motor, it consumes little power while enabling heating! ★With this product, heating aluminum ingots and then placing them into electric or gas furnaces reduces the risk of steam explosions. 【Features】 ■ Fast heating time allows for reduced takt time ■ Energy-efficient as it uses only a motor ■ No CO2 emissions, making it suitable for carbon-neutral initiatives ■ Capable of heating up to around 500°C, ideal for preheating ingots ■ Received the Shizuoka Prefecture SDGs Award, Governor's Prize 【Exhibition Information】 Exhibition Name: 2024 Japan Die Casting Exhibition Date: November 14 (Thursday) to November 16 (Saturday), 2024 Venue: Pacifico Yokohama, Exhibition Halls C & D Admission Fee: Free (pre-registration required) Booth: G-18 *Please refer to the "PDF Download" below for materials containing cost reduction case studies.

"MAGHEAT" Usage Example: Preheating in the warm spinning process.

"MAGHEAT" allows for localized heating, so by selectively heating the spinning processing areas of near-net shape, processes such as submerged cooling are unnecessary!

Our "MAGHEAT" is a magnetic induction heating device that generates induced currents by moving magnets, allowing non-ferrous metals to be heated using the resulting Joule heat. It employs a motor as its power source, making it possible to reduce power consumption. 【Example Application: Preheating in the Warm Spinning Process of Aluminum Wheels】 In the process of finishing the rim shape of near-net-shape wheel castings through warm spinning processing, the wheels are heated to 350°C to 400°C using a gas furnace, then the front design surface is submerged and cooled to 150°C before the spinning process. However, "MAGHEAT" allows for localized heating, enabling selective heating of the spinning processing areas of near-net-shape parts, thus eliminating the need for processes like submerged cooling. Currently, heating with a gas furnace requires about one hour of heating in the furnace to evenly heat the wheels to 350°C to 400°C, but "MAGHEAT" can achieve uniform heating in about 5 minutes, eliminating the need for water cooling processes. ★ Gas cost with gas furnace = 76.39 yen per unit ★ Electricity cost with MAGHEAT = 3.84 yen per unit *For more details on significant reductions in heating costs, please refer to the materials available for download below "PDF Download."

『MAGHEAT』 Application Example: Preheating of Aluminum Ingots at the Melting Plant

By preheating the aluminum ingots to 450℃ to 500℃ and then charging them into the melting furnace, it is possible to achieve complete melting in the furnace in about 10 minutes!

Our "MAGHEAT" is a magnetic induction heating device that generates induced currents in non-ferrous metals by moving magnets, utilizing the resulting Joule heat for heating. It employs a motor as a power source, allowing for reduced power consumption. [Application Example: Preheating Aluminum Ingots in Aluminum Melting Plants] Recently, attention has been drawn to preheating ingots to approximately 450°C to 500°C with "MAGHEAT" before introducing them into the molten bath. Currently, ingots at room temperature are being introduced into tower-type melting furnaces, causing them to drop to the bottom of the molten bath upon entry, damaging the furnace floor and generating a large amount of oxides. For a 10 kg ingot, it is said to take about one hour to dissolve in the molten bath. By introducing preheated ingots at 450°C to 500°C, it is possible to achieve complete melting of the entire bath within 5 to 10 minutes. In gas furnaces, the preheating temperature is "MAX 250°C," whereas with MAGHEAT, a preheating temperature of around "500°C" is achievable. *For more details on this application example, please refer to the materials available for download below "PDF Download."
